Pat Frerking

Patrick Frerking
Founder of SISAC
Chair (2003 – 2010)

Pat Frerking had the honor of working with fellow Athletic/Activities Directors from the Shanghai international school community with the formation of SISAC and CISSA. Pat was on staff at Concordia International School Shanghai from 1998-2011 serving as an Administrator, Teacher & Coach. Pat now serves as the Upper School Principal of Concordia International School Hanoi.


 Chris Bishop

Chris Bishop
Chair (2016 – present)

Chris is from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and has a B.S. in Elementary Education and a master’s in Sport Management, both from Western Michigan University. Chris bagan his teaching and coaching career in 2000. He has experience teaching Grade 4, Grade 5 and Grade 7, as well as coaching basketball and track & field. Chris enjoys playing sports and taking family vacations.

Steve Doleman

Steve Doleman
Treasurer (2003 – present)

Steve currently serves as Activities Director for Shanghai American School, Puxi Campus. Since arriving in Shanghai 9 years ago, he has served both as the SISAC Treasurer and the APAC Chairperson during it’s expansion years. He is married to Christine (a fellow Kiwi and an IB English teacher) and has two children, both of whom graduated from SAS Puxi and now are studying PE at Otago University in New Zealand.
Steve has had many roles and lived in numerous countries during his 27 years of teaching. He has taught in New Zealand, England, Switzerland, Philippines and now China. This year he will complete a Masters of Education degree from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, USA.
When he is not working, Steve enjoys going to the gym, golf and rugby refereeing. He is a member of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Rugby Referee Societies.
Steve hails from New Zealand (the land of the famous All Blacks, 2011 RWC Champions!!), where he calls Tauranga/Waihi Beach home.

 

Luis Wang

Luis Wang
League/Referee Coordinator (2007 – present)

Luis is a Shanghai native and holds a degree in English and a degree in Physical Education. He also holds a M.P.Ed from Shanghai Normal University.
Luis worked in the athletic office at Concordia International School Shanghai for 10.5 years. Currently Luis is working at New York University Shanghai as the Manager of Athletics, Student Life.
Luis is a certified PRC Class-A basketball referee with more than 1,200 games’ officiating experience and also served as the referee coordinator/group supervisor of SIBL (Shanghai International Basketball League).
Luis took the role of the League/Referee Coordinator of SISAC since 2007 with Pat Frerking (founder of SISAC). He assigns officials for all SISAC games and maintains all the online league schedules as well as other SISAC information for the website.
Luis has been involved in a number of APAC, ACAMIS and CISSA events as a site manager/Assistant Tournament Director and that has been giving him various experience in working for sports events at different levels.
Luis enjoys reffing basketball games and shooting pool when he’s out of office.
